Hello!
I am grateful you are here.
Working with people as a therapist is one of my greatest honours, and I believe deeply in the resources humans have to heal. Wherever you are in your journey, I am here to meet you and support you along the way, and to offer guidance that is informed by understanding and compassion. My practice includes working with trauma, anger, grief, co-dependancy, identity struggles, and relationship issues, as well as transitional seasons of life, self-esteem and interpersonal hardships. Thresholds of life I have frequented with clients include: death and loss of a loved one, moving / loss of home, change in family dynamics due to divorce or separation, graduation, and, grief work as it relates to inner child pain and healing.

I have worked with children, youth, teens, and parents for over six years in many capacities, with a focus on trauma and family systems. I have extensive experience working in rural communities both in Canada and the USA, and am currently completing my certification as a somatic therapist. In addition to my private practice, I presently work part time as a mental health counsellor in the Darrington school district, where I focus on working with individuals and families. I am passionate about family systems because I believe that while we are shaped by our families of origin, we are not limited to them. By healing our lived experience of family, we contribute to healing the world.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMCHA) I am under the supervision of Richard Berger, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), LF #60444067. I am also an affiliate with Northwest Family Life (https://northwestfamilylife.org).
My Story
I am a graduate of Yorkville University in New Brunswick, Canada, where I attained my MA in Counseling Psychology. I have had an array of professions before becoming a therapist, including: public school teaching on and off First Nations reserves, outdoor guiding, sailing instruction, and art education. As a therapist, I integrate much of what I have learned in the many jobs I have held, including emphasis on nature, art, movement, and sound as part of the more traditional modes of delivering therapeutic services. As of July 2024, I have also begun guiding for Rites of Passage Journeys, which focuses on weaving contemporary rites of passage experience and education to mentor youth, adults, and elders through life transitions. You can learn more about their meaningful work as a growing and inclusive community here: https://www.riteofpassagejourneys.org/.
